I have added two new YouTube Videos to this site, please check my new Savers Haul video, and my new Recipe video, which I have now added to my Food & Recipe page. I will be posting more, during the week. So watch out for more coming up.
It was a very busy weekend at work, which was what I had expected being half term, but I still had time to see Strictly Come Dancing on Saturday and the Results show on Sunday. I was surprised that Lesley Joseph was voted out, and was in the bottom two with Daisy and Aljaz. They are two of my favourite couples, and I did think that Daisy and Aljaz Charleston was really good and very clever. First time I have seen it performed that way, with it beginning in the dark.
Ed Balls performance had me in stitches. Shouldn't have laughed as it could have ended in someone being seriously hurt, but it was a moment that you just couldn't make up even if you tried. I got to admire what effort his is putting in. Sometimes it is about what you put into it, even if you aren't the best dancer.
A lot of people may not know this from my blogs, but I did that type of dancing Ballroom and Latin American dancing for about 10 years or so, up until I was about 16 years old. Even I had gone wrong in my exams on a couple of occasions. So I totally sympathise and know how difficult some of the routines and footwork can be. Plus it is live in front of millions watching each week. So no pressure then.
I think there are some people who wouldn't understand or appreciate that unless they have done that type of dancing too. Some people have natural rhythm whilst others don't. However if you still put in 100% effort, no one can ever take that away from you, and that can earn more respect sometimes than being able to dance with perfection. People do love an underdog and like to see those who aren't necessarily that good, give it a go and be entertaining at the same time. Ed Balls does certainly do that.
So today they were talking on Loose Women about Ed Balls still being in it, and Lesley Joseph being voted out, but it is public vote and I do feel it is a bit unfair as you can totally see even though MP's aren't my favourite people, how much all the contestants including Ed Balls have put in, in their performances.
My husband and I had a lovely platter on Saturday night from ASDA's which was perfect Saturday night food.

- Cut them into strips or diced. Dip in egg (beaten), Plain Flour and breadcrumbs, then fry in a pan with some oil. I use the forbidden vegetable oil, as it is now on the bad food ingredient list.
- You can use the oil of your choice, but fry for about 20-25 minutes on medium heat, turning round half way through until all cooked through, to serve.
- Or bake in the oven on 180 to 200 degrees depending on your oven for about 25 to 30 minutes, turning over half way through.
- I love mine with some salad and dipping sauce. Dipping sauce choice is mayonnaise.
On Sunday we had a lovely roast, with Pork Loin steaks, homemade roast spuds, Yorkshire Puddings and a variety of vegetables. I just a love Sunday Roasts.
Then today we had a gift card I bought with some WOW Points I had build up through my work perks site and used this to get some food shopping. We had pizza, salad and oven cooked Steak Cut Chips. Yummy.
So that is it for the first blog of this week. I will post more as we go into the week, but until then have a good one and many thanks as always for reading.
