We have now made his bed into a toddler bed, I have filmed this in a weekly Vlog, which will be uploaded soon. Plus I will be writing a post on this, on my Theparentingadventurestipsandtricks.wordpress.com site, too.
I got up and did a run this morning on the treadmill at about 6:30am, then did some weights, then had shower, got dressed, gave Henry his breakfast whilst I had mine, and I was ready to go for about 08:00 this morning. Again this has been very unusual. The last couple of weeks, because Henry is running around everywhere in the house, not possible to have a shower or anything until he has a nap. So the last Monday's I have still been in my PJ's around midday. Some days if I don't GET UP AND GO I WON'T.
I even took Henry to the local common as promised, as when I have planned to do this before, we have never managed to get there, but today I did. It looked lovely and sunny all day. It was windy and cold, but bearable, but then I must have walked up the steepest hill in Surrey, and it starts to rain. TYPICAL!
You definitely need your winter coat for today, no lie. It is definitely dropped in temperature now, and so as soon as I got in from the walk in the common, made a lovely cuppa, before doing my Monday cleaning of the kitchen. It just has to be done, but with some tunes playing as I go.
How we had it before, because it is a small room, the chest of draws was blocking part of the radiator, so some of the heat wasn't getting through. How we have it now though it is, and so much warmer.
I have also been cleaning up our guest room, and my toiletry and make up area in my bedroom too. I got a lovely Make Up Storage Caddy from Lakeland's for £16.99, and toiletry bags from Cath Kidston store, was 2 for £18. It helped me have a clear out of make up I don't use. Also make up can after a while contain really harmful bacteria, if kept for so long and opened/used, so any items I knew I had, had over 6 months or over a year, I purged.
So good to have a clear out and start a new. I go through everything, my computer files, every cupboard, my paperwork, clothes, shoes, etc.
I haven't gotten all my Christmas shopping done as planned (see blog from Friday two weeks ago), but I have started to decorate. I have made DIY decor this year, to help create something original, but also on a budget. I will take a photo and post soon.
Strictly come dancing was good again, on Saturday. Once again spoiled for choice, as the performances were brilliant on Saturday night.
Sunday, because I finished work early, me and my husband, took my son out for a drive, then had a Sunday Coffee. We don't always as I am often working all day, so it was nice to have some family time, then wanting to use the extra time constructively, did so, by starting my seasonal clear up.
It was also my mum's birthday on Sunday, so HAPPY BIRTHDAY. On Thursday it is my brother's birthday, and on Friday it is my son's, who will be 3 years old. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOO BOTH.
It is amazing how time flies so fast. That is why I try to make the most of every minute of the day. One thing this year has taught me so far is, you have to make the most of everyday spent in your life, your family, home and living in the moment, because you just never know when it will be your last.
I will be posting more again as we go further in the week so look out for those on this site, as I will link them once they have been posted, but for now have a good week everyone.
Many thanks for reading,
