I used to be someone who packed everything apart from the kitchen sink, but forgetting that I would be buying some bits whilst out for the the day or on holiday, so the amount I would have to carry on the way back would quadruple and I was fed of having items I never got to wear and that I could have still washed even being in another country, to wear again, so I needn't have taken so much. Now I do take some thought and consideration when packing and plan by making a list of what I need and how much I really do need to take with me. The amount was perfect. We still took 4 bags (small) because of packing baby items such as nappies, snacks for our son and ourselves, our son's ready-made meals and his baby wipes and toiletries. It was n't too much, that it looked like we were immigrating and the snacks and bits for Henry we would use anyway by the time we came back. Here is my Youtube video of how I packed mine and my sons luggage, along with my hand luggage for our Christmas holiday in Lincoln.
