Today was Napping day according to the website https://www.daysoftheyear.com/
I got to say I have never been so thankful for sleep until I became a parent, as you realise how valuable sleep is, as that is what babies do a lot of the time when they are first born, as this helps them to grow, and become big and strong. It really gets to me when I don't have a good nights sleep myself. I wrote a blog some weeks back now, about getting up late one weekend, as I had a bad nights sleep and how just having that extra time made all the difference, and I have stuck by that, as now I don't get up so early to go to work now, when I know I don't need to. I make sure I at least get some sleep, even though Saturday nights because I know I have work on Sunday, I don't always sleep well. I will most evenings come off of electronic devices, my computer, tablet or phone, and wind down ready to go to bed a sleep, as our bodies needs it, and lack of sleep can lead to lack of concentration, weight gain, not getting stuff done and I have been so tired some days in the passed and felt really sick because of it, and lack of sleep can effect our immune systems. Young children need about 12 hours a sleep depending on age, where we need 8-10 hours a sleep, I am someone who naturally can only sleep between 2-4 hours, some nights. There are a lot more nights now where I can go back to sleep some after my usual 2-4 hours, but some nights I can;t. So I will make sure that at some point I do catch up, for my son's sake so I have the energy to be able to make sure he uses enough energy and interaction aswell as for myself, as I believe that good sleep does help with good health, which is important to me, more than ever, aswell keeping fit. So here's to Napping day. Have a great week peeps. Many thanks for reading, Carrie X
