Hey all, having a few problems with getting on the internet, hence why I am writing my start of the week blog now. I am also trying out an ASDA chocolate cake mix, I will post picture on my Instagram once this is done, so I am going to make sure I listen out for my timer to go off. It is 5 days away from when I and my mum take on the 25KM Thames Path Challenge Walk. I am walking for Help For Heroes and my mum is walking for The British Heart Foundation. Please see our JustGiving pages: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Carriesrealworld https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Marie-Holmes2 I am so glad Strictly come dancing is back on. along with the Great British Bake off and Cold feet is back on tonight. My friend who I have known since school is working on Strictly Come Dancing this year so makes it even more exciting. It was so great to see Jay McGuiness and Aliona Vilani do their jive again, and my husband decided he would turn into a judge as he was like "He's already gone wrong". He was never going to top of that very first performance from last year and is my ultimate favourite moment from the Strictly shows. See below the Youtube video of that amazing performance from last year. It still gives me goosebumps and I want to get a picture of that performance to put on my wall as it always makes me smile. Me and my son, Henry had a lazy day today. The weather was miserable so thought that me and my boy would spend some mother and son time, playing indoors. I hope the weather is better tomorrow so we can go outside.
It can be tricky to entertain your children when it is miserable and raining. So we spent it playing with his toys in the living room. Henry said a new word today "Building" he ate the majority of his breakfast by himself this morning. We played upstairs and we both did some reading, he loves his books. Then when daddy came home it was his turn to entertain our son. It was my niece's birthday party yesterday, who turned 9 so I managed to get out of work a little early to take a trip down to my Step Dad's school where she was having her party. I suddenly felt a bit unwell part of yesterday evening and I think it may have been the Latte I had in Cafe Nero. I was fine until I had that, and I have kept away from Caffeinated Latte's due to having a bad reaction before and now will have Soya Latte instead since my mum accidentally got me one and I actually find they are a lot better as they are less heavy. Me being a wimp didn't ask for that in case they didn't do Latte's with Soya which thinking now they probably due being a coffee shop, only Costa's where I usually get my Soya Latte I know do them, but I should have asked. So from today I decided to have a bit of a detox and stay clear of milk and normal tea, and have honey and lemon as my first drink in the morning and drink my herbal teas, as I do have quite a few so a good excuse to use these up. I got to say I do feel a lot better. My last was Fennel, which is a natural cleanser and no caffeine in those tea bags at all and very nice and soothing to drink. I don't feel bloated at all like I normally feel so going to stay away from normal cows milk and if it does make a difference go on to Soya milk which apparently I used to drink as a baby, due to having an allergy to cows milk. Perhaps I am Lactose Intolerant as I do often feel like a got a constant stomach ache, so if you feel the same it is worth seeing if it is to do with what you currently eat. Anyway going to end blog here as got my dinner to finish and I will blog again at the end of the week. Many thanks for reading, Carrie X
