![]() A start of another week, last Friday I hadn't realised it was Friday and so thinking I had one extra day until work at the weekend whilst out with my son, I see on my phone it says the Friday May the 6th. I thought at the time that can't be right. So when I got back home I checked the time on the TV and yes it was Friday. So thinking I had a extra day, I was truly disappointed that the week was close to finish. This morning I get up change my sons nappy, then I get him up so he can have a run around and see daddy, whilst I made a cup of tea, the first cup I spilt everywhere on the worktop and then after my son had his breakfast and watching a few episodes of SpongeBob whilst he had his brekkie and then watched a few YouTube videos, I go and make another cup. I hear whilst I give my husband his other cup of tea, my son chucking something about. So thinking it could be the remote controls, my husbands tablet or one of his toys, I come down and see that my son is chucking his cup about and there is water all over the living room floor. So I then take him upstairs and put my son back into his cot whilst I clear up the water, because I know he will try and get in the way and think it is a game. Also in case he slipped as we have a wooden floor in the Living room. So not a great start of the day, and I didn't sleep well last night either, just couldn't get settled. My little man had really red eyes yesterday and runny noise, so think he may have had an allergy to some sun cream or pollen, as he was playing out in one of the big parks on Sunday with my mum who looked after Henry for the afternoon. We gave him some baby and toddler anti-histamine medicine which seemed to do the trick, apparently children who are prone to eczema are also prone to allergies and hayfever. So we will have to keep and eye out to check him just in case. I had been reading that certain foods can really help with sufferers of eczema such as oily fish, nuts and seeds and vegetables, so we are going to cut some foods out such as those with refine sugar, so no crisps or chocolate as we are guilty of given him those, not all of the time but now and then, and see how he is. I report back and let you know how our son is. His eczema isn't too bad this year, compared to what it has been, and I think given Henry a healthy diet, a variety of foods has helped, and keeping notes of any foods that he has had an allergy too has made a difference. Parenthood doesn't come with a set of instructions so sometimes you do what you can, and some of it is trial and error. I do think that because of social media there seems to be a lot of people who want to criticize other parents, but we all know that we are human we will make mistakes, we won't always get it right so lets be a bit more united when it comes to parenthood as knowing you have a good support system there should you need help, helps us parents to stop putting to much pressure on to ourselves and enjoy it. Anyway going to see what I can get done before my son wakes up as he is having his nap. Have a good week and many thanks for reading, Carrie X
