It made me reflect and to say I have had some awkward moments in my life would be an understatement. I do feel awkward when answering the phones to strangers, even though I do this as a living, working in a call centre. Sometimes you do end up doing a job you wouldn't have expected 10 or 20 years ago.
I am not one to have long conversations on the phone, unless I am at work, I just feel it isn't the same as speaking to someone face to face. I know people who can talk on the phone for hours. I have never been that person.
Even then Elv and I, were away from each other a lot, when I would work up London in the week and then go back to the south coast at the weekend. The phone calls were longer than normal but not endless amounts of time.
Trying to shop whilst my son is kicking off in his pushchair, because he wants to be on the run, and you get that sympathetic look from other mums, and others giving me the *Tut,tut" and then shaking of the head, and want to scream "I AM DOING MY BEST WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO GAG HIM". Even though Henry is a lot better now, I think the more you have your child used to the shopping environment and doing this regularly the less they will kick off. What I have learned so far.I could think differently next week so please don't quote me on that.
I am not a fan of the toilets on trains with the revolving door, as was on the loo some weeks back coming back from meeting my friends, and the door opened. This happened to some others on train, so wasn't the only one, Felt sorry for the guy on the opposite seat as me near the toilet as he kept getting an eye full from the other passengers using the toilet on the train and the same thing happening.
I remember at secondary school when we had this teacher who had bad breathe and everyone was taking the mickey out of him, at which he didn't bat an eyelid, until I said "There's a terrible smell around here" at which the whole of the corridor fell silent, and I was told to see him after class. I mean looking back now, it was cruel as some people can naturally have bad breathe, even when they do brush their teeth, but it was the first time I had said anything.
Out celebrating a friends birthday and not realising the ketchup bottle lid was loose, and so I went to shake and not noticing I had gotten ketchup on the restaurant ceiling and on another girl whom was friend's with the birthday girl's dress, I did this once when out having a birthday meal with my mum, and got ketch up on her skirt. You'd think I would have learnt from the first experience.
However without such awkward moments and there are more, just not got that much time to write about them as this would be a very long blog otherwise, but I wouldn't have anything to write on today's funny celebrations day,
Anyway good weekend people and happy Friday.
Many thanks for reading,
