This book is written by Arianna Huffington, who is the president and editor-in-chief for the Huffington Post. She realised after one evening after she collapsed after being exhausted from endless amount of hours working how she had to change the way she went about her working life and home life.
She talks about different metrics that she had discovered to redefine being a successful in today's world and taking time out to do volunteering as a way of balancing your life, as doing something for others can really help get a better perspective of life, taking time away from social media, no emails or any modern technology which is continuously filling our minds, but not giving ourselves a break. Following her different metrics can help that.
This did really help me and see that to be successful in whatever field you choose, you don't have to work yourself to exhaustion but getting the right balance so you look after yourself and make sure that the most important people in your lives are priority over work too.
So glad I pick this up, some parts I will admit did lose me a little, but most of it, was interesting and got me nodding a lot as it made me see that its not about rushing what you do, but taking your time, when cleaning something for example really embrace it and take the time to do it, and it is ok to put these things at the bottom of the pile of things to do, as it is about prioritising and balancing your life to stop being overwhelmed and working endless hours.
It isn't about doing 25 things at once but concentrating on one thing at a time.
I will give this 8 out of 10 and really was mindful.
