Hello and welcome to another Blog Tuesday.

Typing this as my bubs is having his nap,
I already have a mother's day gift on, a lovely jumper from H&M, which was in the sale and got the jumper for £7.00, and I love it. I love big bulky jumpers, just so cosy and they do look great with ankles boots and leggins.

I am tempted to go back and buy another, jumper and they had some lovely Jewelry sets too, that it took me a while to decide, and I found a lovely set for £1.99.

I am reading this book I got from the library, and it just caught my eye and so I picked it up and I was just intrigued by it.

It is written by the lady you see on the front cover Arianna Huffington, who was a co-founder of the Huffington post. She talks about how she had to change her life around, after working herself to exhaustion, even though the Huffington Post was a huge success she hadn't allowed herself the time to have peace or time to rest.

I am only at the beginning, but it is so interesting, as it talks how tiredness plays a huge factor in how we live our life. The part I am reading is talking about Meditation and how much it really helps the mind and can help with sleep.
I meditate because I like others have trouble trying to switch off and it seems like my mind just goes on overdrive if I let it, to the point I feel stressed and not bothered. Especially at night time, as soon as I lay my head on my pillow my mind will start to play and so I have to think no STOP and is one of the reasons why I read before bed and have a decaf cup of tea, to help me wind down for bed.

Since doing meditation and I am starting to discipline myself to do this every day, even if it is for a few seconds, it does really help turn off. Just concentrating on your breathing, the sounds that I can hear from outside or around me, what each of my senses are picking up, it really does help clear the mind.

I do this before I go for a run now too, and put on motivation video. I talked in a blog about how walking and running helps with this too, because I do find it hard at times to focus on one thing.

However doing exercise and meditation, cleaning, cooking and baking, plus reading, does help me focus on one thing at a time and really helps stops my mind for becoming overwhelmed which I know can lead me to burnout and procrastinate.

I finished this book last week, and I found it to be a really great tool for parents with toddlers. I would recommend reading, and trying out the rules she implies.

I have found the S.O.S technique has helped.
Since reading this book we created a more structured routine for Henry's bedtime and has really helped.

Some of the details about when to feed your child, I would use as a guide but not too the book as it depends on your child and if they do different activities in the day.

It is a guide so never fear you have to change your whole routine, unless you feel the current routine you have for your child is not working, but adapt it to your current routine and tweak it, so for example you both have one meal together, listen to peaceful music, create story time and and create new games and activities.

I would give 8/10

By the end of the week I will have my chocolate making video up, I am editing this as I go and so want this up by tomorrow. Once it is I will add to my website too, and be posting how I spent my valentines weekend too.

My monthly Mother and Baby Chat video I filmed last week, so this will be going up, by next week, so see you on Friday where I will post once more.

Have a great week peeps and thanks for reading,

Carrie X
