It is Tuesday again. I was going to post yesterday but I felt so zapped of energy that when my son had his nap I had that feeling of, "I really need to lay down and shut my eyes, even if I don't actually sleep". I am not complaining about the weather, but I do dread it when it is this hot. My little boy really had bad hayfever and his little nose would not stop running.
I can't have my son in too much heat. The good thing is, it put me off, of going into town. If you have read my other blogs you would have seen that I am being very careful with my money, I am doing a lot better this month than others and have money in my savings now proper amount . Usually when I go into town I get the urge to splurge. I did need to get milk today and bread, which I did, but I did treat myself and hubby to a nice dessert. More for my hubby as he has had some bad news recently and wanted to cheer him up. Please do not ask what, this I wish to keep private but when I know someone is down, whether it be my husband, another family member or a friend, I do love to cheer them up.
If that means splashing out on making a nice dessert then that is what I will do. To be honest it didn't cost that much at all. Less than a £5. To cheer someone up you don't need to go mad, but making them a cuppa, washing up for them even or going to the shops for them, can be a massive weight of their shoulders. Even if it is buying them a surprise cup of coffee. Just showing that you love them rather than keep telling them how much you care, can go a long way.
I do think the nicer you are to people makes a difference too. There are that small majority of people whom think it is ok to be rude to others. I experience it every weekend when I am at work and someone calls into the Call Centre, and at least one person is rude, for no reason. Or if they haven't heard what they want to hear, they can get rude. I don't like giving bad news to people but when in a work environment you have rules to follow like everyone else at work, I can't always say what that person wants me too, to make them happy. It wouldn't be the truth. I am not going to lie to someone just to make them happy. What would they prefer me to be dishonest. That just makes things worse in my book.
When I hear of people going out of their way for other people it really helps keep the faith in people. Not sure if everyone saw the little Portuguese boy who went up to a French support and tried to console him, he could have laughed in the guys face or been nasty, but he wasn't and the Frenchman was so thankful and it showed everyone that, that is how to me human. Not being rude to someone because you feel that just because they work in a call centre, are in the public eye or even if it someone who works below you, at work, that they have the right to be spoken to like a piece of dirt. They are still someone's family or friend, you have no idea of what is going on in their own lives. So be kinder.
The more respect you give the more respect you get back.
So I do believe that if everyone was a lot nicer to others it would make a huge difference in the world. It will encourage others to be nicer to people too.
Many thanks for reading,
