First of all, well done to Tom Daley and Dan Goodfellow for their amazing Bronze medal. I thought they were all amazing. You can see how committed and work they have to put in. They make it look so easy. I am loving the Olympics, great chance to see so many sports in one set of games. It is a great event for other sportspersons to get recognition. I do think they are often forgotten about due to other sports taking over, such as football and rugby. After a busy weekend I did manage to catch up on some other TV yesterday and watching Long Lost Family on ITV 1 does make me put my own life in perspective. It makes you realise how lucky you are, when there are people out there who have never met their biological parents, or whom have had to give up their child for adoption because of bringing shame to families having children out of wedlock as it was often seen years and years ago, and then wanting to find their child years later. I do think we do live in a different society now. Today I finally got to do an inventory list of all the food we have in our fridge, freezer and cupboards, as I was fed up of wasting food, and finally wanted to put an end to it. I am going to make sure every thing is used up. It did open my eyes to how much we waste and it is money at the end of the day. Being more careful with my money has made a massive difference. Organising my bank accounts so I have one for everyday spending, bills and savings has been a massive change and best thing I have done. I am now going to do the same with buying items on the high street and groceries to buying items online. Doing this helps to see where my money is going and to be more careful with what I buy and spend. Sometimes we can so easily press the buy button and go into denial of if I can't see my bank balance then I don't have to think about it, but it will still be there. I have made a rule that if I do want something then I see if I can buy it in store first and check the price and #Ifitworksout to be more #costeffective including delivery charge to buy online or if I am not able to find the item in any local store. I have also been working on this months budget, which has also helped massively in looking at my finances and I will find some really good online tools to share on my blog posts if you are also needing some help with money, and will help get you started.
Have a good week. Many thanks for reading, Carrie X Start of a new week. The Rio 2016 Olympics has come to an end and we are coming up to the last weekend in August 2016, soon it will be Autumn again. I am pleased that they are going to have a parade for all those who won medals for Team GB who have travelled back now from the games. It has been a tough old couple of days not saying too much as I wish to protect my husband and his family but it has really made me see that you have to make the most of your time as you just never know what is around the corner. So I have been trying to be more productive and get a balance between looking after the home, doing my blogs, books and videos and spending sometime with Henry. It isn't easy and sometimes I wish I could lock myself in a room somewhere just to have a bit of peace for 5 minutes.
This in turn has helped me with my financial situation, I see that buying materialistic items are great for 2 seconds at times, but they aren't going to help me have a good day out or a holiday. I have to be real and realise that I am not able to afford everything at the moment, but I can if I invest and not if I am splurging on things that is just going to add to the clutter in my home. Anyway going to leave it there for today, here is a link to my latest video which you can watch right away: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xAS0lPytEco I will upload to my Mind Management page soon so you can watch it there too. It is my new Self Confidence video talking about relationships. Have a good week everyone and many thanks for reading, Carrie X |
