Sorry I didn't blog on Friday I was spending some time with friends and did the same today.
I hope everyone had a good easter and got lots of eggs. Henry did his second easter egg hunt and managed to find some eggs this year,
I think everyone had the same idea on Friday with it being such a sunny day and in England, us English always have to make the most of it when we can, as not always the case. I do enjoy these seasonal holidays for the very reason, to take the opportunity to see friends and spend time with family.
More so for Henry, as not being morbid but when he grows to be an adult there will be some friends and family who will have passed on, and so it is important to me that he gets to opportunity to see my friends and their children, and his relatives.
I am filming through the next two weeks, until the 8th April 2016. Sorry for the delay of uploading my videos, I have had some computer problems but I am trying to get them up as soon as i can.
So more videos on my Youtube channel and website to come.
Anyway have a great week everyone and I will make sure i blog this Friday.
Many thanks for reading,
So trying to post a blog the last two days my computer upstairs has gone on the blink, and so I have had to re-write my blog using my laptop but it is finding a good spot to use the laptop, as I can use on my bed but too low down, and I get back ache, can use in living room whilst bubby a sleep which I did try but by the time I set everything up, my son woke up and in the kitchen where I am typing now I have no stall and so I am having to stand at the moment whilst typing and not too bad but I have to keep stopping to take break. I like to be sitting comfortably so I can get into the right frame of mind when typing my blogs. The same when writing my books.
I don't think I could ever be one of the those who spends hours typing on their laptops on the train or bus, I have to be in my own space.
However I was determined to write my blog and wanted to post yesterday because I was really excited about the new Batman Vs Superman film, and yes I am a BIG KID when it comes to these films, but I am proud to be such a fan of these great action films. If you know me, you will know I have loved superhero films for a long time, I put my brother and mum through years of boredom as a kid wanting to watch Superman films over and over again.
The film Batman Vs Superman is released here in the UK on the 25th March and I am definitely going to make sure I go and see it. It seemed like forever waiting for another Superman film to come out, and so when the film Superman Returns was released I was on the computer checking when it was going to be released down at the South coast cinemas, where I lived at the time when this film was coming out, and I know it didn't get a good review, but I actually loved the film and I think they should have kept with that story.
My husband and I went to see the Man of Steel, and it was good film I thought Russell Crowe played the part of Superman's Kryptonian Father really well, as Marlin Brando played the part originally back when the first film Superman 1, was made in the late 70's which were huge shoes to fill, and I thought Michael Shannon who played General Zod was good too. I like the actor who played Superman, not as uncanny as the actor who played Superman in Superman Returns, as he looked so like the wonder and late Christopher Reeves, who will always be my Superman, but the actor Henry Cavill, did portray the part well. The one thing I was really disappointed about with the Man of Steel was the iconic Superman music. I love that tune it is Superman's tune and should have been kept the same. So I was very disappointed with that, it was like changing the film into an X-Men film version of Superman and not on the super hero himself and what he is known for and I being a massive fan of superman films, I see the original Superman music to me is part of his identity.
So to the producers of these films, I will always love them and be excited when they are released and made, but please, please keep the original music.
Many thanks for reading,
To day is women's day so remember to where the colour purple
Today it is Women's day, and we ladies are pretty special the fact that we can carry a human being around inside our bodies for 9 months and give birth, and the fact that each month we have to go through a menstrual cycle, which isn't always pleasant and can make use feel groggy.
Hello and welcome to another Blog Tuesday.
Typing this as my bubs is having his nap,
I already have a mother's day gift on, a lovely jumper from H&M, which was in the sale and got the jumper for £7.00, and I love it. I love big bulky jumpers, just so cosy and they do look great with ankles boots and leggins.
I am tempted to go back and buy another, jumper and they had some lovely Jewelry sets too, that it took me a while to decide, and I found a lovely set for £1.99.
I am reading this book I got from the library, and it just caught my eye and so I picked it up and I was just intrigued by it.
It is written by the lady you see on the front cover Arianna Huffington, who was a co-founder of the Huffington post. She talks about how she had to change her life around, after working herself to exhaustion, even though the Huffington Post was a huge success she hadn't allowed herself the time to have peace or time to rest.
I am only at the beginning, but it is so interesting, as it talks how tiredness plays a huge factor in how we live our life. The part I am reading is talking about Meditation and how much it really helps the mind and can help with sleep.
I meditate because I like others have trouble trying to switch off and it seems like my mind just goes on overdrive if I let it, to the point I feel stressed and not bothered. Especially at night time, as soon as I lay my head on my pillow my mind will start to play and so I have to think no STOP and is one of the reasons why I read before bed and have a decaf cup of tea, to help me wind down for bed.
Since doing meditation and I am starting to discipline myself to do this every day, even if it is for a few seconds, it does really help turn off. Just concentrating on your breathing, the sounds that I can hear from outside or around me, what each of my senses are picking up, it really does help clear the mind.
I do this before I go for a run now too, and put on motivation video. I talked in a blog about how walking and running helps with this too, because I do find it hard at times to focus on one thing.
However doing exercise and meditation, cleaning, cooking and baking, plus reading, does help me focus on one thing at a time and really helps stops my mind for becoming overwhelmed which I know can lead me to burnout and procrastinate.
I finished this book last week, and I found it to be a really great tool for parents with toddlers. I would recommend reading, and trying out the rules she implies.
I have found the S.O.S technique has helped.
Since reading this book we created a more structured routine for Henry's bedtime and has really helped.
Some of the details about when to feed your child, I would use as a guide but not too the book as it depends on your child and if they do different activities in the day.
It is a guide so never fear you have to change your whole routine, unless you feel the current routine you have for your child is not working, but adapt it to your current routine and tweak it, so for example you both have one meal together, listen to peaceful music, create story time and and create new games and activities.
I would give 8/10
By the end of the week I will have my chocolate making video up, I am editing this as I go and so want this up by tomorrow. Once it is I will add to my website too, and be posting how I spent my valentines weekend too.
My monthly Mother and Baby Chat video I filmed last week, so this will be going up, by next week, so see you on Friday where I will post once more.
Have a great week peeps and thanks for reading,
